Step into Eutopia, where 25 of Ireland’s leading illustrators imagine a more hopeful, inclusive and welcoming future.

Following the success of Affinities, Illustrators Ireland returns for Irish Design Week with Eutopia, an exhibition by 18 of its members at The Space Between on Fenian Street.

Responding to this year’s theme, Fáilte Future Europe, Eutopia combines “EU” and “utopia” to consider the future we hope to welcome—and how attainable that vision might be. Each participating illustrator will create an original A2 poster exploring ideas of belonging, cooperation, sustainability, community and possibility through their distinctive visual language. The 18 finished artworks will be framed and brought together in a cohesive exhibition celebrating the breadth of contemporary Irish illustration.

The exhibition will open at The Space Between, an important creative collaborator in the development and presentation of Eutopia. The evening will bring artists and audiences together within its inspiring surroundings, creating space for art, conversation, connection and reflection.

Eutopia will be sponsored by Digital Beast and Micromedia. Throughout Irish Design Week, the exhibition will extend beyond the gallery through Micromedia’s nationwide digital screen network, with marketing design and animation created by Digital Beast. Together, they will bring Ireland’s illustration community to audiences nationwide—offering not a vision of a perfect future, but 18 perspectives on what one could become.
