Dutch art and design collective Varia are visiting north Leitrim to work with the collective on artist-led servers as a device for storytelling using contemporary technologies.
Local artist Shane Finan will facilitate a discussion on using server technologies as artworks. This follows the project ‘waking the land’, where folklore from Benbo Mountain was used as a device to engage audiences in social events about loss, in partnership with the Glens Centre and supported by the Irish Hospice Foundation.
Varia and The Collective will run a half-day workshop on using server technologies as a method to explore alternative narratives.
