This workshop introduces participants to the art of zine-making using free, accessible digital tools alongside hands-on collage and photocopying. Following on from last year’s sold-out Irish Design Week event, participants will learn how to design and layout their own short zine using laptops and open-source software.

By the end of the day, each participant will produce a print-ready PDF. These will be professionally printed after the workshop, and participants will each receive 15 free copies of their zine the following week.

The workshop draws inspiration from Irish pamphleteering, folklore, and everyday storytelling, connecting past and present forms of grassroots publishing. It is open to all skill levels, and encourages collaboration, experimentation, and community storytelling.
