Design & Crafts Council Ireland is delighted to announce the 48 selected designer makers for the PORTFOLIO 2026/27 iteration.
DCCI established the PORTFOLIO programme in 2005 as a targeted, strategic development initiative to support the fine craft community and support Ireland’s high end craft makers in securing national & international commercial opportunities. PORTFOLIO now returns with a new approach where the next iteration will have one selection and all work selected will be included in the programme.
PORTFOLIO is an enduring programme which celebrates contemporary and design-led craft of the highest quality. The PORTFOLIO programme showcases work for the high-end gallery market and its publication is widely recognised and respected across the national and international fine craft communities.
The PORTFOLIO selection for 2026/2027 was made by an esteemed jury panel who undertook a robust and thorough two-stage evaluation process shortlisting entries, and was followed by onsite final selection from work that represented the skill and craft of makers in Ireland. The 48 makers selected represent the strength, diversity and creativity of Ireland’s contemporary craft sector and will become part of a programme designed to increase visibility and create opportunities through publication, exhibition and international promotion.
